The Crew

Mady

Owner

Aged 6 when she got her first pony, Mady has lived and loved horses for most of her life.

These days she is a serious competitor in the disciplines of eventing and showing, her passion and love for horses is still as strong as it ever was.

Having completed year 12 at Urrbrae Agricultural High School, Mady has been accepted into Marcus Oldham College in Geelong in 2014 to complete a Diploma in Horse Equine Management.

Mady has worked for various Olympic riders such as Wendy Schaeffer and Megan Jones as well as in private eventing stables. She has also worked in fast paced racing stables specialising in yearling preparation and handling.

She has had extensive experience working on studs riding and competing stallions, showing yearlings and foals and being a major part of the studs breeding season.

In 2013 she was offered a position with the South Australian Mounted Police however due to bad timing with her study at Marcus Oldham College to begin next year she was unable to accept.

The majority of Mady's life revolves around her horses and helping other people to enjoy her horses just as much as she does.

Penderlea

    Sol Invictus

Penderlea Sol Invictus or Sebbi or Sebastian (when hes naughty) is a five year old, chestnut thoroughbred gelding. He's been of the track for nearly two years and was raced under the (horrible) name of Trumbywasaringer. He was born and bred in Alice Springs, Northen Territory and he is by Racers Edge out of the dam On Bended Knee.

Standing at ONLY 18hh, he's a complete gentle giant. Having only started his career this year, he has so far been successful in both the show ring and the showjumping arena. He got a first, second and a third at his first hack show, placing in all his events and at his first showjumping he cleaned up with faultless rounds and a first and a second.

Sebbi is the baby of the team and is working up to being an eventer. Mady and Seb have attended many cross country open days and Seb is at his happiest whilst jumping as his opinion of dressage or flatwork is 'this is soooooooo boring'!

Penderlea

      Breeanna

Penderlea Breeanna or Penny is a 21 year old Cleveland Bay Sporthorse mare.

Her sire is Braelea Park Huntsman out of a thoroughbred mare named Sophie. She is a highly trained dressage horse, competing to novice with Mady.

As well as being successful in the dressage ring, she has been very successful in the show-ring with many champions and reserve champions under her belt.

These days Penny is semi retired and will be put with a Cleveland Bay stallion this breeding season in hope to get a foal late 2014.

**Penny has recently retired after failing again to fall pregnant this season and has returned to her breeder in NSW to live out her days. She will be dearly missed**

Brutus

Brutus is a 10hh now 18yo Shetland pony. He was Mady's first pony and she still has him to this day although he is currently being leased out to another little girl. A typical Shetland pony,

Brutus is full of character and attitude and eats everything (hes been known to nibble on babies fingers and toes if given the chance as well as drink straight out of the ice coffee carton!)

Brutus is a bit of a legend around the ponyclubs he has attended. He's done everything from teaching many children to ride, attending fetes, running in pony races and competing in dressage tests. This dude can do it all, and even after 12 years of riding, Brutus is still easily able to deseat Mady at the best of times.

Archie

Archie is the 'mascot' of the team. This gutsy little Chihuahua isn't afraid of anything. King of the float at any horse show, Archie goes wherever the horses do. From following along on trail rides to sitting up on top of the horses Archie must always be the centre of attention...  However, when he's not guarding the float with his life, Archie spends 90% of his time sleeping and watching tv... We just simply wouldn't be a team without him... He even has a rug to match the horses!
